Project Manager  
Profile: Qualifications & Experience  Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma In Engineering, Or Otherwise Qualified In A Relevant Area, And A Minimum Of Five Years’ Experience As A Project Manager In A Marine Or Oil & Gas Project Environment.  Commercial Awareness With Experience Of Contract Administration And Client Management.  Broad It Experience And Particularly An Experienced User Of The Microsoft Office Suite Of Applications.  Fluent In The English Language, Verbal And Written, With Extensive Experience Of Its Use And Application In All Types Of Business Communication.  Lives The Asry Values Of Safety, Teamwork, Accountability, Customer Focus, Integrity And Excellence (stacie).  Confidentiality Is A Mandatory Requirement Of This Role. Critical Skills:  Leadership – Must Lead By Example, Be Proactive And Solution Driven, Taking Ownership Of Projects And Demonstrating Consistent Commitment And The Willingness To Go Above And Beyond In Their Delivery. This Will Often Include The Requirement To Work Irregular Hours.  Communication – Must Be A Strong Communicator Who Listens, Who Seeks To Understand And Then To Be Understood. Job Summary The Project Manager Is Accountable For The Preparation, Direction, Coordination, Implementation, Execution, Monitoring, Control, Completion And Close Out Of Assigned Projects, While Always Ensuring Consistency With Company’s Strategy, Commitments And Safety, Quality, Commercial And Operational Objectives.  The Project Manager Is Accountable For Ensuring Compliance With The Safety, Quality & Environmental Requirements Of Asry On All Assigned Projects, Leads By Example And Actively Participates In, Or Implements, Hse Initiatives As Appropriate.  The Project Manager Will Be Assigned Projects As Determined By Asry Operational Requirements And Workload, Recognising Any Specific Relationships Between The Client And Project Manager Or Any Specialisations As May Be Appropriate, And In Accordance With Previous Track Record, Performance And Appraisals.  The Project Manager, Once Assigned, Will Be The Single Point Of Contact Between The Owner’s Representative And Asry Until The Project Is Completed And The Completion File (close Out) Is Handed Back To Commercial Department.  The Project Manager Will Make The Necessary Presentations To Production, Plan And Execute The Work, Monitor And Control The Work, Complete And Perform The Relevant Close Out. There Might Also Be A Requirement For Development Of A Project Charter.  The Project Manager Also Has A Role In Coaching/mentoring Other Members Of The Projects Team In The Junior Grades, And Must Therefore Must Continuously And Consistently Exhibit The Behaviours Of A Project Manager, Leading By Example. On Occasion This Will Include The Assignment Of A Junior Or Less Experienced Member Of The Projects Team To One Of Their Assigned Projects As An Understudy. Develops All Project Documents In Accordance With The Contractual Requirements, The Scale Of The Project, Good Project Management Practice And/or As Otherwise Directed. This, As A Minimum, Will Be A Logic Linked Project Schedule. This Might Also Require A Project Charter, A Risk & Issue Register, A Projected Cashflow Plan, A Change Management Plan, A Procurement Plan, A Raci Matrix, A Work Breakdown Structure, A Communication Plan, A Quality Plan, An Inspection & Test Plan, An Hse Bridging Document Etc. These To Be Completed As Considered Necessary By The Project Manager, Based On Their Experience Of Similar Projects And Good Project Management Practice, Or As Directed By The Projects & Operations Manager.  Develops The Project Definition And Scope Of Work, Defining All Goals And Deliverables.  Defines Project Success Criteria And Distributes Them To All Relevant Parties Over The Project Duration.  Studies The Project Specification In Detail, Develops The Work List And Uploads To The Erp System For Distribution To The Production Department.  Ensures Fully Familiarised With The Terms And Conditions Of The Project Contract And Identifies All Project Milestones And Deliverables.  Develops, In Collaboration With The Assigned Project Team, The Asry Central Planning Unit And Key Trades, The Project’s Preliminary Plan / Master Plan And Simops Plan As Required.  Identifies Critical Path Activities And Makes All Efforts To Avoid Unjustifiable Delays, Ensuring Ultimately That Asry Is Protected Against Any Claims For Delay Through Contract Change Orders.  Ensures That Critical Path Activities Are Performed In Accordance With The Schedule And That Project Milestones And Deliverables Are Achieved.  Coordinates And Chairs The Onboard Daily Meeting. This Includes A Mandatory Requirement To Record Minutes Of Meeting (mom), Issuing A Copy To The Client And Filing A Copy In The Project File.  Attends And Reports In The Daily Yard Management Operations Meeting. Attends Any Other Meetings With The Client Or Internal To Asry As Required, Recording Mom’s As Appropriate.  Provides Progress Reports To The Client.  Provides To The Line Manager And The Head Of Projects A Weekly Report Summarising Project Progress, Including Manhour Analysis And The Commercial Position.  Builds, Develops, And Grows The Company`s Business Relationships With The Client.  Intervenes And Proposes Alterations As Applicable In Consultation With Respective Stakeholders For Any Issues Which Potentially Can Delay Project Delivery Or May Increase Risk Which Can Be Avoided.  Resolves And / Or Escalates Project Risks And Issues In A Timely Fashion.  Prepares Close Out Reports And Organises Lessons Learnt Meetings.  Complies With And Helps To Enforce Standard Policies And Procedures.  Maintains Project File According To Company Indexing For Hardcopy / Softcopy Filing.  Communicates With The Client On All Relevant Matters As The Single Point Of Contact For The Project (technical Matters And Other).  In Coordination With Procurement Department Initiates And Monitors The Procurement Activities As Per Project Requirement And Highlights / Escalates Any Deficiencies.
